"I'm proud to be a Navy veteran."

Last Patrol volunteers honored Navy veteran Ray Riley, Sr,  who is in hospice care.

Ray completed High School while in the Navy. He spent 4 years assigned to the Franklin Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier as a Shipfitters Mate, and completed 2 Mediterranean Cold War cruises with the ship.

After military service, Ray went on to a 36 year career with the Post Office, retiring as a Supervisor. While working he earned an Associates Degree in Industrial Management. Ray and his wife of 63 years had 5 boys, all of whom became Eagle Scouts.

Having served our nation, our country owes Ray  and all veterans everlasting gratitude.
