“Your WWII vet dad inspired you. And you inspire us, Ron.”

Ronald Ricks is a Marine Vietnam vet in hospice care with @Agape Care. Last Patrol volunteers rallied to honor him. Joined by the @Marine Corps League, our team Ron a number of patriotic gifts to recognize and celebrate his service.

Ron is one of 10 children and incredibly went on to have 10 children himself. His dad was a WWII  veteran and Ron’s childhood hero.

Assigned to the 3rd Marine Division, Ron saw a lot of action in Vietnam. He served at Crabtree, Marble Mountain, and Khe Sanh.  His shooting proficiency got him assigned later to a general officer’s security detail.

After military service, Ron and a small group of veterans formed a Ministry and Gospel Group in Hampton, VA. They traveled widely.  “I wanted to keep serving,” he said.
