“We salute you on your Last Patrol, Sir!”

Last Patrol volunteers gathered to honor Marine Vietnam veteran Ronald Bode.

Ron grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. While in college, he was approached by a Marine recruiter who invited him to ride in a T-34 airplane. The love of flying captured Ron. He joined the Marine Corps and served from 65 – ’69, flying helicopters, including a tour in Vietnam. He left military service as a major.

Post-military, Ron worked for Union Camp Corporation corrugated container division. He continued serving in the Marine Corps Reserve. Ron is married and has 3 children.

Our honor ceremony was conducted in partnership with @Prisma Health. Ron was presented several patriotic gifts to celebrate his military service to our nation.
